Hi,
firs sorry for my english. If u dont understand somthing let me know i can writ in spanish XD.

Mi question is about the CTF rules.

WINNING CONDITION
1 map is played for a maximum of 2 rounds. The team who scores the most flag captures is the winner of the round, however, if flag captures are equal at the end of the round, the winner is the team who then has the most flag touches. That is the only time flag touches are ever considered. If that is equal as well, the round is considered a draw.

The match is awarded to the team which has the winning combination of results over the total of the 2 rounds.

For example:
If Team A wins both games, they win the match
If Team A wins the first game and draws the second game, they win the match
If team A wins the first game and loses the second game, the match is drawn.

Our proposal:
1 map is played for a maximum of 2 rounds. The team who scores the most flag captures in the 2 rounds is the winner of the MATCH (and not the round), however, if flag captures are equal at the end of the MATCH (and not the round), the winner is the team who then has the most flag touches. That is the only time flag touches are ever considered. If that is equal as well, the round is considered a draw.

I think that wit this rules each team have the same oportunity to winn a match. If u winn the first round u have just to camp around the flag with 5 guys and wait. I dont know wath the other teams think about this.

I hoppe u understand my perfect english.

Hi Lord,

Each match will be a a best of 3 games. Default time is 20 per game but can be 30 if both teams agree. There will not be accumalative scoring. A game is won by the team who scores the most flag captures. In the event of flag scores being equal after a game, flag touches are used to determine the winner. In the event of the flag scores and flag touches being equal then the team kills are used to determine the winner. Win 2 games and you win the match. There will be no draws.

In the unlikely event that flag scores, touches and kills are equal, the game is to replayed.

This next bit may be hard to understand but we are thinking of:

Each match must be played on an official APL CTF Map. In a match teams get to choose 1 map each. The 3rd map will be the official round map which is a randomly drawn map for that round.

e.g. The round 1 map is ctf-Napalm randomly chosen by the APL organisers. In a round 1 match, Team 1 chooses ctf-Agnus Dei, Team 2 chooses ctf-Vybor. In this map, if a 3rd game is needed it would be played in ctf-Napalm. In round 2 another random map would be chosen as the deciding map for that round.

Rules are being finalised and will be available very soon

I think there are plenty of arguments for and against accumulative scoring. We personally think best of 3 is the fairest way and thats the way we will go for this knockout. We will review at the end and ask for feedback and if collectively we agree it isnt working, we will explore other ideas.

Look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!!

Well, if one team A won the first round and get a drawn at the second round, there is no need to play a third one.

I don't really get why we need to change the win-loose common system.

If team A wins round one.. and draws round 2, team b wins round 3, then you have a draw
team A wins 1 draws 1
team B wins 1 draws 1
= Draw.

Due to the SCRIPT limitations of the Site a draw is not currently an option.. it has to be a win/lose scenario...

(there is a future upgrade that will allow draws in a new LEAGUE system, similar to the football leagues but thats a month or so away)
